This
is the farm in Illinois that belonged to my grandparents. It's where
my mother grew up and where I would spend a lot of summer vacations. It was a wonderful place for exploring.
The house was full of antiques and outside there were corn fields and
grazing sheep. There was a little creek that ran through the
property and I would go horse back riding with my friends. There were
warm summer nights spent catching fireflies in glass jars and time
spent just listening to how quiet the world could be.
My grandma passed away in 1997 at
101 years old. At that time the farm was sold but I'm so thankful
that I had such a wonderful place to explore the
world around me that God created, during a time when life was slower
and simpler.
